Weekend Seminar:This special seminar is an opportunity for us to get you into wearing armour. You will be matched up with an armour that is your size and taught how to wear do-tare-kote and how to tie a tenagui. You will have an opportunity to get accustomed to doing Kendo wearing this armour. You will also be introduced to Kendo Kata for the first time (in which bokuto or wooden swords are used).

August 29 - 31, 2003
Winter Camp: Every year the NZKF holds a winter camp. This year it is to be hosted by the Waikato Kendo Club at the Waikato University gym. At the seminar you will have an opportunity to meet about 50 other Kendoka throughout NZ and have an opportunity to attend a grading. Sometimes high graded Japanese sensei come and teach at these seminars. Sue and Liz will talk more about what a grading entails during class but you all would be able to attend this if you can make it to Hamilton.
