Directions and Contact info for the Hutt Kendo Club

Directions:
The Hutt Kendo Club meets for practice at the small Gym at Naenae College in Lower Hutt.

You can get to Naenae College via public transportation or by car.  

The Naenae train station is less than half a kilometer's walking distance from the dojo. The 2, 4, 21 and 41 busses all pass by Naenae College on High Street. For time tables and maps you can visit the Wellington Regional Council's Point.Click and Ride web site.

There is easy parking access at the dojo and Naenae College is located about 1km from SH 2 and the Avalon turn-off. Driving directions are provided below .

To get to the dojo take your best route to High Street in Avalon, Lower Hutt.

This will most likely see you travelling on the Western Hutt Road (SH 2) to the Avalon turn-off.

Take the Avalon exit onto Fairway Drive. This will take you over the Hutt River and across Taita Drive.

Get into the far left lane and turn left onto High Street at the lights.

You will now be passing Naenae College on your right and will want to take the first right turn onto Walters Street.

Mid-way down Walters Street is an access road on your right. Turn down this road(it's a bit narrow so keep an eye out for other traffic and pedestrians). This access road passes between an athletic field on your left and tennis courts on your right. At the end of the tennis courts bear hard right and continue a short distance past a some facilities buildings.

Immediately head and to your left is the Small Gym. The main entrance is between the Small and Large Gym. Park anywhere and come on in.
