About Your Instructors

Chief Instructor Liz Dutton 5th dan. UK Referee since 1993, member UK Women's Team for European Kendo Championships 1988/ 89/ 94.

Assistant Instructor Sue Lytollis 5th dan NZ World Kendo rep 1985, 1988, silver medallist UK Women's Champs 1999 and also silver medallist Poneke Challenge, Wgtn 2000.

Both Liz and Sue have lived and studied in Japan. They have studied Kendo for more than 20 years and currently, are the highest graded female instructors in New Zealand as well as Australasia. Before leaving the UK, Liz was a national Kendo referee and has contributed her talents to refereeing at Kendo competitions in NZ.
